This initiative directly improves water quality by removing pollutants from the coastline. The program promotes responsible waste management and integrated water resource management among students and the local community, contributing to waste reduction and ecosystem protection.
Description: The College of Health Sciences conducted an extension activity to assist a local community in developing a marketable "pokpoklo" (a type of edible seaweed) ice cream. The project focused on improving product labeling and packaging. By helping the community create a sustainable product from a natural resource, the university promotes responsible management of local resources and efficient food production.
