Description: The University Extension Office (UEO) held training to enhance faculty skills in documenting extension activities. By improving the quality of project proposals and reports, the university can more effectively mobilize resources for its community outreach programs, many of which focus on providing livelihood skills to people in need, thereby contributing to poverty reduction.
Description: The Medical Dental Services Office and the College of Criminal Justice Education collaborated to host a seminar on oral health. The program, "Oral Health Matters: A Pathway to Professional Confidence," educated criminology students about the importance of dental hygiene for professional success. This initiative provides valuable health education, directly supporting the promotion of good health and equipping students with life skills.
Description: In partnership with various organizations, the College of Teacher Education and Laboratory Schools conducted a feeding program for nutritionally-challenged pupils. The program addressed child malnutrition, a significant barrier to learning. By ensuring children are well-nourished, the initiative supports their ability to receive a quality education and contributes to zero hunger.
Description: The URDO organized a coastal clean-up and tree planting activity as part of the university's 59th founding anniversary. This initiative actively educates the community on environmental conservation and the importance of climate action. By engaging students and faculty, the university promotes education for sustainable development and fosters a sense of environmental stewardship.
Description: A faculty member from the BS Psychology program was invited as a resource speaker on an online podcast titled "Cancelled Ka Na! Intolerance in the Digital Age: Cyberbullying and Online Hate." The event aimed to promote mental health advocacy and educate the public on cyberbullying and online harassment. This initiative provides valuable knowledge that contributes to both quality education and mental well-being.
Description: The University Research and Development Office's (URDO) Mushroom Research and Development Center (MRDC) conducted a research dissemination in Suyo, Ilocos Sur. This event aimed to share innovative findings in mushroom cultivation, promoting sustainable and resilient agricultural practices. By providing this knowledge, the university helps local farmers increase their productivity and enhance food security.
